Hydroguard - Burst prediction, detection and location
Hydroguard was co-developed with a major UK water company to provide a high integrity monitoring system for water trunk and transfer mains.
Hydroguard measures, records and transmits trunk and transfer mains flow, pressure and noise data to provide smart asset protection and management.
Hydroguard is set to learn a pipeline activity signature over a pre determined period (e.g. 7 / 14 days). Multiple high, low or combination alarms can then be set (absolute or deviation from the learnt profile) on each of the 3 channels with activation of various actions (i.e. SMS to mobile phone, initiate high frequency logging (fastline).
At the designated master station, the PC will receive the SMS messages and alarm notifications and present the data in a graphical format, allowing the detection (and location) of possible bursts in the network and to determine the possibility of major leaks.
